Hi just a quick hello from New Zealand , just sold my 12r & got a 2014 14r se white with the Öhlins TTX shock. have only done 400kms so far ,just gave it a oil change & filter{ didnt find any metal in oil which was a good suprise} nice bike to ride,cant wait to get it run in .will upload some pics soon Cheers Tony.

Hi Extrapolator ,hey i live 15km north of christchurch lived in christchurch until the The February 2011 Christchurch earthquake munted my house ,only to happy to help you out in any way.there is a couple of motorcycle hire places in the city could hook up & show you some amazing short rides .

goldie666 - Thanks so much for the offer! However, we're staying with friends in Oxford, and they seem to have every single day filled with activities already! They're going to drag our travel weary bodies around Christchurch the day we arrive (yikes - zzzzzzzz) ... then spend the night at their house ... then head to Hanmer hot springs for 3 days ... then train ride to Greymouth to stay on the west coast a few days ... then a night or two at a lake to the south (can't remember which one) ... and a few more things I'm forgetting ... so, unfortunately prob no time to ride there :( I do appreciate the offer, though.
Oh, and our friends there in Oxford told us all about those earthquakes, although it didn't damage their place, I know they did some serious damage to Christchurch ... was sorry to hear about that.

Only challenge is getting the missus to calm down when she sees yet another motorbike delivery!
